Are you thinking of financing a home in Cary?

Feeling lots of anxiety over getting financing for a home purchase? You don't have to be. I have excellent relationships with many lenders in the Cary area, and they've helped me realize a few things that make the process of applying for a loan much easier.

1 – Assemble a list of questions regarding your loan program

Be sure you bring a list of questions if you find that you don't fully understand the ins and outs of all the various programs. I or one of my trusted lenders will be able to assist you with understanding the advantages and disadvantages of both programs, because it is a challenge to know the characteristics of both fixed and adjustable rate mortgages.

2 – Decide when to lock

Locking in a rate means that a mortgage lender keeps to the mortgage interest rates for the loan – commonly at the time the loan application is sent in. By floating the rate, you can lock the rate anytime between the day you apply for your loan and issuance of closing documents. 3 – Decide if you want to pay additional points to lower your interest rate

4 – Bring your paperwork
