Garner HomesIn May, 2005, Garner celebrated its 100 year Centennial. It is located at the interchange of Interstate 40 and US Highway 70, approximately 8 miles south of Raleigh. With a population of over 24,500, and its close proximity to Raleigh, Garner is a place that has a small town feel with uptown access to Raleigh, Research Triangle Park, and other areas have to offer. Along with quick access to everything, Garner residents can be at the beach, on the eastern coast of the state in approximately 2-3 hours. They can also travel to the mountains, in the western part of the state of North Carolina, in approximately 4-5 hours. Residents enjoy the small town atmosphere, that the area is less congested, and that they have all the benefits of city living, as well as, the enjoyment of many parks, recreational activities, arts and entertainment right in their community.
